What To Do at Beavers Bend

If you’re looking for a relaxing vacation in the beautiful Oklahoma countryside, look no further than Beavers Bend State Park. It has all the outdoor and educational activities you could hope to find in such a beautiful area, including a museum, hiking, golf, fishing, and group activities. Whether you’re booking Beavers Bend cabin rentals or just hoping to put your boat on the water for a day, this state park has tons of options for children and adults alike.

Forest Heritage Museum

This center stays true to its name by displaying different types of documents and artifacts dealing with the history of forestry in the area. You can view antique tools, peruse the library, or check out some of the wood art on display. There’s activities and exhibits for the history buff, the antiques lover, and the art adorer.

Hiking

There are a variety of different hiking trails ranging from one to three miles in length. Most are fairly easy and would be suitable for a beginner, but a couple of routes have some climbing involved, so be sure to do your research first. The longest trail, the David Boren Hiking Trail, has four major trailheads with options to do a three-mile loop from various locations. You can hop on this trail from almost anywhere in the park. No matter what trail your on, the trees have blue and white markers to keep you on the right path.

Golf

This state park even has an 18-hole golf course for novices and enthusiasts alike. It serves a beautiful walk through the surrounding nature as you enjoy a leisurely game, so you still get to soak in some of the sights of the area.

Beavers Bend is a great place to spend a long weekend or host a summer vacation to remember.
